When a child begins to crawl and walk, it is quite an adventure. The little ones become curious and that is when an accident can happen. If you need to go to the kitchen you can feel good knowing your child is in a playpen, playing and in a confined area.
(If you would like the wooden playpens to be outside, I would recommend a water-proof--child safe laquer (lak) to protect the wood. )
